Established in 1998, Paradigm Consultants was a brainchild of Dr Parag Diwan to provide innovative solutions to the Indian higher education sector. In its 25 years of experience, Paradigm has established several successful HEIs and consulted with many national and international institutions.

One of the early projects that Paradigm delivered was a feasibility study to establish India’s 1st petroleum university, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). This idea was such a novelty at the time that Dr Diwan continued to support the project through DPR preparation and due diligence until UPES’ incorporation in 2002. Furthermore, Dr Diwan served as the Founder Vice-Chancellor of UPES for 12 years, from 2003 to 2015, building the now 15,000+ students university from 200 students in 2003. The UPES model now serves as a role model for many private universities all over the country.

Dr Diwan has weaved “doing things” into Paradigm’s DNA. While the industry standard is to “provide insights,” Paradigm takes pride in building a long-term relationship with clients, providing hands on support in execution and delivering outcomes that our client set out to achieve. We have supported our clients achieve their accreditations and ranking goals, embark on digital transformation, and build innovative portfolio to stay ahead of the curve.

With extensive knowledge and background in institution building, Paradigm has delivered turnaround of several HEIs, prepared long-term strategic roadmaps and innovative product portfolios, executed marketing and branding initiatives, handled academic administration, managed regulatory and institutional affairs, built corporate and international partnerships, and created distance/online learning platforms.
