Situation

With the introduction of AP Pvt University Act 2016, GLIM group wanted to establish a Greenfield University in Sricity, AP a noted SEZ bordering the state of Tamil Nadu.

Major Interventions

Created Detailed Project Report to establish Great Lakes International University
Developed a new generation program portfolio focusing on Decision Sciences, Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other such cutting technology areas.
Carried out a survey in Sricity to find an appropriate plot for the proposed university.
Filed the DPR with AP Govt and presented to the Expert Committee.

Outcome

The Gazette notification of the Great Lakes International University has been passed in 2017.
An interim infrastructure has been found out for start up operations.
